Wamak Supplies was founded on June 03 2010 as Wamak Collections by Patricia Kijedi in Kenya’s capital Nairobi. The name Wamak was inspired by her two daughters’ names, WAMbui and MAKena. Our first shop was a single stall in St. Bhakita house stall number 28, where you can still find us today
From that single stall in St. Bhakita house, to a
double stall and then to a second location our
growth in the last 10 years has been one of ups
and downs and we count ourselves blessed to
still be here.
We started off selling jewellery like necklaces
and bangles before transitioning into the
makeup and perfume business which today is
our niche market.
Our growth has also allowed us to go from
employing 2 employees to our current 7.
We are also able to bring in consignments of
whole shipping containers as compared to our
initial way of sharing a single container
amongst a group of many.
Wamak Supplies is a wholesale and retail
beauty shop located on Dubois road, Nairobi
that deals in cosmetic products like perfumes,
body splashes, nails and nail polishes, makeup
kits and powders, scrubs, lipsticks and many
more. We also partner with popular brands like
Sansiro, legano and a few others to distribute
their products here in East Africa. With our
partners we have come to fill the gap by
setting new and higher standards for the
beauty and cosmetic industry in the region.
By doing this, it guarantees our customers a
continuity and availability of all their favourite
products.
Our customer base also expanded slowly over
the years from local Nairobi businesses to out
of town businesses in Eldoret, Nakuru, Kisumu
to regional clients in Rwanda, Uganda,
Zimbabwe and many more.
